HomePod bass issues may stem from a number of malfunctions. Most obviously, it can be from the woofer malfunction, usually requiring the woofer to be replaced with an operational one from another HomePod. There is no off-the-shelf replacement options that we’re aware of. Also, it may be caused by malfunctioning ceramic capacitors, or another shorted resistor or similar component on the amplified board.
This service requires a bit more involve diagnostics and can vary in cost based on the total replaced components.
In addition, we bolster the padding between the subwoofer and the support frame as well as the woofer and the top ring to stem any potential rattles that may be caused due to aging rubber grommets that anchor the woofer to the frame. We use a high-density 3M foam tape for this additional padding, which is offered to you, our valued customer, as a complementary service at no additional charge.
