Repairing a “no-power” HomePod 1st Gen is a fairly involved process due to the complexities in getting into the HomePod. The root cause is often a shorted-out Schottky barrier diode failure, which needs to be de-soldered, and a new one from a recent good production batch is soldered onto the amplified board.
