I was just about to toss my 1st Gen HomePod because I couldn't get it to boot (despite trying every trick I could find online). I happened to find minn-tech.com when googling about recycling my HomePod. I'm so glad I found them! The process was super easy. I opted to have them send me a box; all I had to do was pack-up my HomePod, attach the label they sent, and take it to the Post Office. Not long after, I got an email that they had received my HomePod and could fix it. I also opted to have the parts that fail the most often replaced while they had it there. Not long after that, I got my HomePod back in the mail. It's better than brand new! It was well worth the price of the repair, and I wish them much success, as I have 5 other 1st Gen HomePods that may end up needing their services! Thank you, minn-tech. You saved my HomePod from the landfill and brought it back to life.

I recently had my Apple HomePod repaired by Minn-Tech, and I could not be more satisfied with the experience. From start to finish, their service was exceptional. They clearly communicated the work being done, including a full system restore, firmware refresh, and extensive overnight bench testing. In addition to fixing the primary issue, they identified and replaced known failure components on the amplifier board, including a Schottky diode and aging capacitors, to prevent future problems. Honestly took a chance since I had heard of it before, I basically just searched for DIY repair options online. IM glad I came across this service. What a clutch find! My HomePod was flashing the volume buttons and I thought it was the end of the line for it. I found minn-tech after doing some research online about how to fix the issue and these guys did not disappoint. Sent my HomePod out they let me know what was wrong with it (eroded node, from oxidation) corrected my issue and sent my HomePod right back.(Took a week roughly all together. I sent out my HomePod on a Monday from FL to MN it got to them Friday they had it shipped back out on a Monday and I got it back Thursday) . A $60 fix for a speaker I spent $300 on was well beyond worth it for me! If you are having any issues with your HomePod take it from me do not hesitate to use these guys. I NEVER EVER write reviews but these guys did right I had to leave them a review and I hope this helps someone out there who is searching on how to fix their HomePod look no further you’ve found your answer. Couldn’t have been easier. Repairs were done super fast, shipped back immediately, and I have a working OG HomePod again! Shame on Apple for not supporting their own hardware like they used to, but thankfully we have great people like this to fix their mistakes.

My 1st gen HomePod was flashing and was stuck after a software update. I brought it to Apple and they told me there nothing they could do. It was too old to qualify for a replacement and they don’t repair them anymore. They essentially told me to throw it away and purchase another one. Minn-Tech saved the day! I shipped it out and a few days later I got notice that it was on its way back. I couldn’t believe it. It works just as good as new again! Thank you so much!!

Quick and convenient service to fix what would otherwise have become e-waste and gone to the landfill. I've been using it for a couple of weeks since Minn-Tech fixed my 1st gen HomePod and it works and sounds just as good as new. My HomePod died on me after updating to 18.1. It would show no sign of life, even when connected to power. I called Minn-Tech and was given the reassurance I needed to purchase the $69 option to fix my HomePod. They helped me figure out the best way to pack the HomePod for shipment, updated me when they received my HomePod and the condition it arrived in, and told me what the issue was and what they did to fix it. The whole process took exactly a week to ship out and for them to fix and ship it back to me. They also replaced additional parts with no additional charge that were worn for preventative maintenance known to cause the subwoofer to fail. I just received my HomePod last night, and it is moving and grooving in my stereo pair. I highly recommend Minn Tech if you're looking for an easy way to fix your HomePod that wont break your bank.
