Superb service. Just like the old days when your speaker cones needed replacing - these folks brought my first generation HomePods back to life. They sound brand new. OMG! I am absolutely delighted at the OUTSTANDING support and service for my out of warranty original Apple HomePod 1st generation! I purchased two of these the minute Apple enabled stereo pairing and never used them with Apple Music but as soon as I decided to use them together with a workaround app called Airfoil, I was able to use the HomePods with other audio sources. Then, one HomePod just died. It sat for almost two years just dead. Apple just stopped support and manufacturing of HomePod 1st gen. To get out of warranty support was almost foolish. Then, I found Minn-Tech!!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! The Best service! And Better support than Apple itself!! Apple just dropped the bomb on 1st gen then, years later introduced 2nd gen that are not compatible with the 1st gen! WTH? Minn-Tech brought my 1st Gen back to life in DAYS!!! I am so blown-away at the Better-than-AppleCare service of my HomePod 1st gen even when it was in-warranty!! (Shhh. Don't tell anybody but I know Apple product support better than many... 17+ years experience!) Minn-Tech service I would recommend to ANYONE I know having HomePod issues out of warranty. I would recommend in-warranty but let Apple handle that part (just get their AppleCare+). When that ends... Get to Minn-Tech, ASAP!

It upsets me that there is almost no information about this failure on the internet and that people like Minn Tech doesn’t have a lot of presence on social media -but I get it. Minn-Tech provided a fantastic service experience for repairing worn out capacitors on my 1st-gen HomePods. The whole process took less than a week including shipping both ways, and the fee was very reasonable given alternatives. I would use Minn-Tech again for this repair without hesitation.
