It was worth paying for the shipping box, fast service too. For some reason I just like the sound of my Gen 1 HomePod more than Gen2, and it would have costed a lot more to fix at Apple if they would even do it (they don't). Happy to have a working device again

I own five HomePods, two of which required repair. The first would not power up and the second had the "Death Fart" issue. I sent both units in for repair. The units were sent on a Friday and by the following Thursday were back with me, having been repaired and working perfectly. I am grateful for the service provided by Fuat and his team at Minn-Tech, a service I highly recommend. I am now keeping my fingers crossed that my other three HomePods do not stop working, but if they do, I know where I will send them to be repaired - Minn Tech. Thank you. West

If you know anything about the HomePod 1, you know they are a nightmare to repair. I honestly don't know who else could have done a better job. The whole process was incredibly smooth—perfect communication and he had the issue confirmed and fixed in just one day. Everything was exactly as promised; no surprises and the cost was spot-on with the original quote. What really impressed me was that he even went ahead and fixed a few other potential issues pre-emptively without charging me extra. He’s clearly a pro who knows these devices inside and out, but he’s also just a really honest guy to do business with. I just got it back today and it’s perfect. They paid the postage both ways, repaired my dead, no power HomePod. and returned it to me all within a week's time . . . all for only $69.00 ! You will not be able to find a better deal than this. It now works great and sounds better than ever. I have four other HomePods; and, if any of them fail, I will be sending them to Minn-Tech for repairs. Minn-Tech did an outstanding job repairing my Original (1st Gen) Apple HomePod that had completely lost power. The turnaround time was incredibly fast, and the $70 service fee was well worth it.
