I had come to terms with a $300 paper weight and was preparing to recycle my gen 1 HomePod. I then got brave and thought why not take it apart myself just to see how it looks inside. I googled how to repair my HomePod and lo and behold, option 2 mentioned minn-tech. I thought it was too good to be true but sure enough, I now have a working HomePod and it sounds great. The process was easy and I’ve already told friends and family I’d their HomePod dies, minn-tech is their savior.

I cant say enough good things about Minn-Tech. I almost threw out two Gen1 HomePods in almost new condition with the exception of known internal issues. Minn-Tech repaired my HomePod exactly the way they advertised that they would, and I could not be more pleased than I am. They paid the postage both ways, repaired my dead, no power HomePod. and returned it to me all within a week's time . . . all for only $69.00 ! You will not be able to find a better deal than this. It now works great and sounds better than ever. I have four other HomePods; and, if any of them fail, I will be sending them to Minn-Tech for repairs. What a clutch find! My HomePod was flashing the volume buttons and I thought it was the end of the line for it. I found minn-tech after doing some research online about how to fix the issue and these guys did not disappoint. Sent my HomePod out they let me know what was wrong with it (eroded node, from oxidation) corrected my issue and sent my HomePod right back.(Took a week roughly all together. I sent out my HomePod on a Monday from FL to MN it got to them Friday they had it shipped back out on a Monday and I got it back Thursday) . A $60 fix for a speaker I spent $300 on was well beyond worth it for me! If you are having any issues with your HomePod take it from me do not hesitate to use these guys. I NEVER EVER write reviews but these guys did right I had to leave them a review and I hope this helps someone out there who is searching on how to fix their HomePod look no further you’ve found your answer. My 1st gen HomePod was flashing and was stuck after a software update. I brought it to Apple and they told me there nothing they could do. It was too old to qualify for a replacement and they don’t repair them anymore. They essentially told me to throw it away and purchase another one. Minn-Tech saved the day!
