Minn-tech went above and beyond repairing my gen 1 homepod with easy service, quick turnaround, and an incredibly detailed diagnostic where they fixed a couple other known issues that were a matter of time. After sending in my first HomePod of a pair with an issue and being blown away by the service, I sent my other HomePod in for preventive maintenance. I received he best communication I’ve had from any maintenance/repair company. They worked on it immediately and it was in the mail back to me after their overnight testing. I agree with other reviews that the bass is better, plus with replacement of some electronic parts known to cause problems, I am likely good for a long time. Highly recommended!

It was worth paying for the shipping box, fast service too. For some reason I just like the sound of my Gen 1 HomePod more than Gen2, and it would have costed a lot more to fix at Apple if they would even do it (they don't). Happy to have a working device again

I stumbled across about this service. I have held on to my HomePod for over a couple years now because of the + – volume button error. I figured it had to be software related, as this error started after my HomePods updated to a new firmware version. For $80, which included shipping back and forth, this was well worth it, otherwise I just had a bookend. I am glad I held on to my Original HomePod and finally found solution. I’m so happy to have my HomePod working again so that I can have my stereo pair set up again. Thank you!

It now works great and sounds better than ever. I have four other HomePods; and, if any of them fail, I will be sending them to Minn-Tech for repairs. Found via a google review, sent in BOTH my old door stops (because that’s what they were good for since they both went pop within a week of each other) and Minn-Tech did a brilliant job - new diodes and caps in both, and a new logic board in one - and I think they cleaned them both too. What an AMAZING service. Glad to have my stereo pair back in operation. Amazing service, and less in the landfill. Brilliant work. Five stars, no notes, would do again.
