My 1st gen HomePod was flashing and was stuck after a software update. I brought it to Apple and they told me there nothing they could do. It was too old to qualify for a replacement and they don’t repair them anymore. They essentially told me to throw it away and purchase another one. Minn-Tech saved the day! EXCELLENT, WOW, FANTASTIC WOULD DEFINITELY USE AGAIN!!! My son's first generation HomePod was dead. Apple wants $275 to fix, might as well buy a new one. Googled the symptoms, saw YouTube videos on how to fix, honestly I would never be able to put it back together on first try, not to mention buying the right tools. Googled repairs in my area (Chicago suburbs), nothing. Came across Minn-Tech, what a find. For $69 (including shipping both ways!), Minn-Tech fixed the no power issue and replaced four ceramic DC filter capacitors as a preventive measure at no additional charge! Sent the HomePod on Tuesday 10/29 and was just delivered today, Monday 11/4. Works perfectly. Couldn't ask for a better result. Thank you Minn-Tech!!! Minn-Tech provided a fantastic service experience for repairing worn out capacitors on my 1st-gen HomePods. The whole process took less than a week including shipping both ways, and the fee was very reasonable given alternatives. I would use Minn-Tech again for this repair without hesitation.
