It now works great and sounds better than ever. I have four other HomePods; and, if any of them fail, I will be sending them to Minn-Tech for repairs. Cannot express how completely satisfied I am with the service on my dead, first generation HomePod! The local Apple repair shop wanted $300 to repair it, more than the cost of a new HomePod! I searched YouTube videos to perhaps repair it myself and found an instructional video showing the replacement of a diode. It was too much for me to take on, and over an hour and a half of work. So glad I found Minn-Tech. Not only did they replace the diode, they also replaced other components to ensure a long life. It sounds great again! Very reasonable price and quick turnaround. Don’t buy new, have Minn-Tech repair yours for less than a Homepod Mini and enjoy the HomePod’s full, rich sound!
