I was just about to toss my 1st Gen HomePod because I couldn't get it to boot (despite trying every trick I could find online). I happened to find minn-tech.com when googling about recycling my HomePod. I'm so glad I found them! The process was super easy. I opted to have them send me a box; all I had to do was pack-up my HomePod, attach the label they sent, and take it to the Post Office. Not long after, I got an email that they had received my HomePod and could fix it. I also opted to have the parts that fail the most often replaced while they had it there. Not long after that, I got my HomePod back in the mail. It's better than brand new! It was well worth the price of the repair, and I wish them much success, as I have 5 other 1st Gen HomePods that may end up needing their services! Thank you, minn-tech. You saved my HomePod from the landfill and brought it back to life.

If you know anything about the HomePod 1, you know they are a nightmare to repair. I honestly don't know who else could have done a better job. Cannot express how completely satisfied I am with the service on my dead, first generation HomePod! The local Apple repair shop wanted $300 to repair it, more than the cost of a new HomePod! I searched YouTube videos to perhaps repair it myself and found an instructional video showing the replacement of a diode. It was too much for me to take on, and over an hour and a half of work. So glad I found Minn-Tech. Not only did they replace the diode, they also replaced other components to ensure a long life. It sounds great again! Very reasonable price and quick turnaround. Don’t buy new, have Minn-Tech repair yours for less than a Homepod Mini and enjoy the HomePod’s full, rich sound!
