Found via a google review, sent in BOTH my old door stops (because that’s what they were good for since they both went pop within a week of each other) and Minn-Tech did a brilliant job – new diodes and caps in both, and a new logic board in one – and I think they cleaned them both too. What an AMAZING service. Glad to have my stereo pair back in operation. Amazing service, and less in the landfill. Brilliant work. Five stars, no notes, would do again.

Googled the symptoms, saw YouTube videos on how to fix, honestly I would never be able to put it back together on first try, not to mention buying the right tools. Googled repairs in my area (Chicago suburbs), nothing. Came across Minn-Tech, what a find. For $69 (including shipping both ways!), Minn-Tech fixed the no power issue and replaced four ceramic DC filter capacitors as a preventive measure at no additional charge! Sent the HomePod on Tuesday 10/29 and was just delivered today, Monday 11/4. Works perfectly. Couldn't ask for a better result. Thank you Minn-Tech!!! My family has 7 other first gen HomePods, needless to say I've booked marked Minn-Tech. THANK YOU!!!

Two day shipping was fast! Packaging was very good. HomePod works perfectly. Was able to sync it to my iPhone immediately out of the box. Device was clean, no cracks or scuffs, basically brand new.

My stereo pair of HomePods (1st Gen) died during an Apple update from the Home app. A lot of Googling gave me some ideas, but most said the cause was hopeless. I was able to get a factory reset on one of the pair, but not the other. So I just ordered a pair of 2nd Gen speakers, feeling kinda ripped off as I know the old pair wasn't damaged in any physical way. I kept the bad pod plugged in and kept trying to reset it. No luck. I took the good pod, put it in the laundry room and, happily, loved having good music in there. So much that I went to eBay to find a companion speaker of the 1st generation. Very high prices for used equipment, some that could possibly not work. But … here's the good part … my eBay search also included a posting about an inexpensive repair. I was intrigued, but cautious. Seemed to good to be true. I looked for the name of the company who listed it and that brought me here to the Minn-Tech site. I looked at all the possible problems that were repairable and found the exact diagnosis: Spinning Light Endless Bootloops. It felt great to have someone in the online space that felt my pain. And, a huge plus, it was something that Minn-Tech knew how to fix. So here I am. A happy customer. The repair was a little over $50 and for an extra $15 a postage paid shipping box was sent to me. Now, only one week later … I have the most awesome stereo and can rock out while folding towels and delicates. Thanks, Minn-Tech, for making my day, week, and years to come.

What a clutch find! My HomePod was flashing the volume buttons and I thought it was the end of the line for it. I found minn-tech after doing some research online about how to fix the issue and these guys did not disappoint. Sent my HomePod out they let me know what was wrong with it (eroded node, from oxidation) corrected my issue and sent my HomePod right back.(Took a week roughly all together. I sent out my HomePod on a Monday from FL to MN it got to them Friday they had it shipped back out on a Monday and I got it back Thursday) . A $60 fix for a speaker I spent $300 on was well beyond worth it for me! If you are having any issues with your HomePod take it from me do not hesitate to use these guys. I NEVER EVER write reviews but these guys did right I had to leave them a review and I hope this helps someone out there who is searching on how to fix their HomePod look no further you’ve found your answer. My HomePod died on me after updating to 18.1. It would show no sign of life, even when connected to power. I called Minn-Tech and was given the reassurance I needed to purchase the $69 option to fix my HomePod. They helped me figure out the best way to pack the HomePod for shipment, updated me when they received my HomePod and the condition it arrived in, and told me what the issue was and what they did to fix it. The whole process took exactly a week to ship out and for them to fix and ship it back to me. They also replaced additional parts with no additional charge that were worn for preventative maintenance known to cause the subwoofer to fail. I just received my HomePod last night, and it is moving and grooving in my stereo pair. I highly recommend Minn Tech if you're looking for an easy way to fix your HomePod that wont break your bank.

Minn-Tech provides a needed service for those that have various HomePod issues, and they do so with a very high level of prompt customer service that conveys a thorough knowledge of the technology, along with a personal approach that is rare in business these days. My original HomePod had the "Death Fart" issue along with clicking and popping noises. Not only did they fix these issues but they preemptively replaced a different part that is a known issue FOR FREE. No hard sell or upcharge, they just fixed it. I wish I had found Minn-Tech sooner, as I have been dealing with the issues for years. They also sell refurbished HomePods at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Cannot express how completely satisfied I am with the service on my dead, first generation HomePod! The local Apple repair shop wanted $300 to repair it, more than the cost of a new HomePod! I searched YouTube videos to perhaps repair it myself and found an instructional video showing the replacement of a diode. It was too much for me to take on, and over an hour and a half of work. So glad I found Minn-Tech. Not only did they replace the diode, they also replaced other components to ensure a long life. It sounds great again! Very reasonable price and quick turnaround. Don’t buy new, have Minn-Tech repair yours for less than a Homepod Mini and enjoy the HomePod’s full, rich sound!

My HomePod had the "Death Fart" issue – it started off now and then, but became much more frequent like clockwork. Minn-Tech to the rescue! The whole repair process was very streamlined and easy, with shipping labels and everything. Turn-around time was also very quick! My HomePod was returned clean and without any scuffs from the process. And most importantly – it sounds great and no longer startles me with full-volume alien fart attack sounds! I stumbled across about this service. I have held on to my HomePod for over a couple years now because of the + – volume button error. I figured it had to be software related, as this error started after my HomePods updated to a new firmware version. For $80, which included shipping back and forth, this was well worth it, otherwise I just had a bookend. I am glad I held on to my Original HomePod and finally found solution. I'm so glad I had Minn-Tech repair my failed HomePod. I took it to the Apple Store, they said it's so old I might as well buy a new one. I searched and found Minn-Tech's video for how to repair. The video is careful and patient and it showed me: 1) it's too hard to do myself, 2) I trust Minn-Tech to do it.
